In a deal worth €1.1bn, Deutsche Wohnen is set to acquire the Berlin-based real estate portfolio Harald from Patrizia Immobilien. The portfolio includes 13,500 residential units. The move may complicate a €14bn offer that Germany’s largest residential real estate firm, Vonovia SE, offered for Deutsche Wohnen, in October. Vonovia said that it would offer cash and shares for Deutsche Wohnen on the condition that the company not make any “significant asset purchases.”
