Developers sold 65,000 apartments in 2018

14 February 2019

A total of 65,000 apartments were sold in Warsaw, Kraków, Tri-City, Wrocław, Poznań and Łódź in 2018, according to JLL. The annual result was down 11 percent from the previous year, however it was still the second best total for the Polish residential sector in recent history. The market benefited from a favorable macroeconomic situation, which kept interest rates lows and the mortgage volumes steady. Despite strong sales, JLL writes that developers struggled with workforce issues in 2018 as well as a surge in construction and material costs and a lack of attractive plots.
