DGS Business Services took nearly 1,500 sqm of offices at Echo Investment’s Oxygen building in Szczecin. The technology service company opened a SSC on the fifth floor this month in a deal brokered by CBRE. “The opening is a milestone in our development strategy for the Polish market,” says Maciej Prusinowski, shared service director at DGS Business Services Poland. The company has a staff of 50 already working at Oxygen and plans to expand.
DGS Business Services is part of the William Demant group, a producer of hearing aid equipment. The company entered the Polish market in 2007. when it opened its first production center in the town of Mielno. Since then, the group has grown to 1,900 employees.
The last SSC deal completed in the city, completed in 2013, brought Genpact to the market. Poznań, TriCity and Katowice have traditionally attracted more attention from BPO investors. “As 2015 begins, we see growing interest coming from this sector, who are interested in launching their operations in Szczecin,” says Mariusz Wiśniewski, senior associate director of the office and tenant representation department at CBRE.
