Export confidence of Czech businesses is falling, according to a recent survey the delivery giant DHL had carried out by GfK Czech. Exporters expect stagnation in the total volumes of exports from the Czech Republic. EU and Russia will be the key target territories, according to 300 representatives from some of the region’s top exporters.
According to the survey, 50 percent of the businesses expect stagnation, with growth foreseen by a mere 39 percent. Only 11 percent of exporters are confident that the euro will be kept by all Eurozone member states, while 69 percent think that euro will survive but expect some countries will leave the Eurozone.
While the EU is still a key market for 94 percent of the respondents, the number of countries exporting outside the EU grew significantly, with Russia and former Soviet Union countries key target areas, followed by China and southeastern Asia.
