DHL Romania plans to focus on SME clients and to further develop its regional centers this year, according to Daniel Kearvell, managing director of DHL Romania. The company plans to open a center in the city of Cluj this year, similar to the one in Otopeni, in an effort to optimize delivery times.
Currently, 80 percent of DHL Romania’s clients come from the SME sector, generating almost 60 percent of the company’s income, Kearvell said. In 2012, the company bought 100 cars, doubling its transportation capacity nationwide. DHL also bought new cargo airplanes to serve western Romania.
