Dobříš in the Příbram region is completing the repair of a hostel in Větrník, it should be ready in April. Thanks to the reconstruction inside, 29 flats will be created, including a day room for the administrator and a social worker, and part of the flats will be set aside for the socially weak. The city also wants to build a day hospital for seniors on Dukelské náměstí this year, according to Denisa Havlíčková from Dobříš City Hall.
Workers have been repairing the hostel since last March. The work is to cost CZK 27 million, of which CZK 17 million should be covered by subsidies and the rest will be paid by the city. The three-storey panel house fell into disrepair for a long time, most of the structures and internal wiring were in a state of disrepair. The city has so far used the hostel for people in difficult social situations.
This year, Dobříš, who is almost nine thousand, is also counting on the reconstruction of the premises in the nursing home on Dukelské náměstí, where a day hospital for the elderly will be built there. This service is still missing in Dobříš, the estimated cost is seven million crowns.
The complete reconstruction of water, heating and electricity distribution in the polyclinic building is also to begin. The construction work is planned for two years and will take place during operation. The builders will always repair part of the building and the individual surgeries will move. This year, the reconstruction costs are estimated at CZK 3.7 million.
