Dom Development plans to build a scale of operations in Krakow based on local competences and, in the future, to be present in more prestigious locations, according to President Jarosław Szanajca.
“In Krakow, we bought a controlling stake in the company we want to develop. Buy land, do good projects and combine what we want to derive from the local partnerships with our skills in building scale. Krakow is highly diversified when it comes to market actors. there is little in Krakow, there is competence in building a large company that is able to sell ‘in the hundreds’ and at the same time offer the right quality,” said Szanajca during the video conference.
In the future, Dom Development may offer in Krakow, just like in other markets, investments in the most prestigious locations.
“As long as it is possible to buy and promote them, we will of course want to. We are currently the most focused when it comes to Krakow on Górka Narodowa. This is a great place, similar to Chrzanów in Warsaw, where the fast tram is already very advanced. This is the place from which it is worth starting in Krakow. We are also looking for both sides of Krakow and some premium project, but we will not strive for spectacular successes right away, we have to learn Krakow,” said the president.
“Krakow is a very difficult facility for expansion. If it were not difficult, perhaps more companies would grow more there. So it is a big challenge, but we believe that we have put ourselves well,” he added.
In July this year. Dom Development concluded an agreement to acquire 77% of shares in the Krakow developer Sento for PLN 35.38 million.
Thanks to the acquisition, the Dom Development group has 228 units on offer in Kraków, approx. 300 under construction and over 700 in the land bank.
Currently, the largest project in Sento’s offer is the SenTOTU investment, located in Górka Narodowa.
