DSV opens distribution center at Panattoni Park Prague Airport II

27 October 2016

Logistics provider DSV Czech Republic opened its new headquarters with a cross-docking terminal at Panattoni Park Prague Airport II in Pavlov, west of Prague. Construction of the 23,301 sqm facility cost CZK 500m. It includes a 13,000 sqm warehouse, 7,000 sqm cross-docking terminal as well as office space. The terminal, to be used for short-term storage of shipments from Europe and overseas, has a span of 45 meters without a single column and is equipped with advanced IT technology, including “Pick by Voice”, which enables preparation of goods to be controlled via voice commands. In just one month, DSV relocated its operations from three former locations: the DSV Road Division was originally in Dobrovíz, the DSV Air & Sea Division in Ruzyně and the logistics warehouse was in Horní Počernice on the eastern outskirts of Prague. The new headquarters currently employs a staff of 270.
