In July, 59,133 passengers passed through Dubrovnik Airport. That’s a stunning 88 percent drop from the 514,723 that did so for the same month in 2019. For the whole of 2019, 3 million passengers flew in or out of the city. In that year, turnover rose 13 percent compared to 22018 with a record 2.9 million passengers, revenues of HRK 468.5 million and a net profit of approximately HRK 100 million.
If there had not been a crisis caused by the coronavirus this year, even better results were expected. Currently, the airport is connected to 46 destinations. Due to the uncertainty, it’s still difficult to predict the airport’s passenger numbers for 2020.
