There were more dwellings completed in Poland in the first 10 months of 2020 compared to the year before, according to Statistics Poland (GUS). However, the number of dwellings which secured permits or that have been registered with a construction project and the number of dwellings where construction has started decreased. According to the preliminary data, 176,400 dwellings were completed between January and October 2020, up by 6.1 percent y-o-y. Developers completed 114,1000 dwellings, up 9.3 percent y-o-y. Private investors, meanwhile, completed 59,300 dwellings, up 5.4 percent y-o-y. Within these forms of construction, 98.3 percent of the total number of completed dwellings was built. Less dwellings than a year ago were completed within cooperative construction (1,092 compared to 1,893 dwellings), according to Statistics Poland.
