The Samaritan organizations of Bremen and Riga are planning to invest €2m to build a social service center in the Latvian capital in the coming years. The project will include hygiene and training centers as well as medical facilities, including a massage room and salt room. The Riga City Council will not provide funding for the project.
“A multi-functional social service center is a way to concentrate resources and save money while ensuring availability of specialists and diversity of social services,” said Andris Berzins, director of the Latvian Samaritan Association.
