EBRD and Erste Bank Croatia sign two loan agreements

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Croatian branch of Erste & Steiermaerkische Bank have signed a pair of loan agreements that will support business development in the country. Erste Bank will provide a €20m line of credit with additional sources of financing to support small and medium enterprises, while an additional €10m will be provided as part of Erste’s €60m Croatia Residential Sustainable Energy Financing Facility. This fund is aimed at improving the efficiency of residential buildings.

Erste Bank is the third largest bank in Croatia, with a market share of 15 percent.
The EBRD has invested about €3.22bn in 178 projects in Croatia since the country became independent in the early 1990s
