Echo Investment is set to unveil a new design for its Cracovia project in Kraków within the next two weeks. The new office investment will replace the former Cracovia hotel. The project is expected to get the green light within two months, after the investor updates its plans. Originally, the project included a new hotel development project and a shopping center, but city authorities did not approve this. Kraków’s deputy mayor, Elżbieta Koterba, says she’s now satisfied with the project’s shape.
However, local news reports point out that the project still needs to be reviewed by the historic conservation board. “This new proposal seems interesting, including the way the passage has been designed, but the facade should include some metal components, in order to fit with the design of the former hotel,” said Jan Janczykowski, the county conservator.
