A joint venture between ECI Group and Mercury Advisors has recently received $15.4 million of preferred equity funding from Canyon Partners Real Estate for a new mixed-use project in downtown Tampa. The project, Channel Club, will feature a 22-story, Class A multifamily tower with 323 rental units totaling approximately 295,000 leasable sqf, as well as a seven-story parking garage with 596 spaces. The development will include a 36,900 sqf Publix grocery store. The scheme is located in the Channel District near Twiggs Road, Meridian Avenue and Madison Street on a 2.26 acre lot. Both the residential and retail component of the project are slated for completion in 2017. “The Channel Club is our third partnership with Canyon, and we look forward to continuing to invest and build together in the future,” said Seth Greenberg, CEO of ECI Group.
