Eco Rubber will start processing tire waste in the Pirot Free Zone in Dimitrovgrad, southern Serbia, next year. The company has invested about €1m into the equipment and will manufacture raw materials for a variety of rubber-based products like noise panels and children’s playgrounds. There are currently 25 companies operating in the Pirot Free Zone. The largest company is Tigar Tires, part of Michelin, which has 3,000 employees working in the zone.
