Ecologistics leases 2 more location in Czechia

4 August 2021

Ecologistics, 3PL company operating in the Czech Republic since 2017, has expanded recently on the Czech property market in Prague-Chrastany and Pilsen-Stenovice, increasing its total space to 63,300 sqm of A-class commercial space in 4 industrial parks in Prague-West and in Pilsen-Stenovice.

Ecologistics serves global e-commerce companies whose goods has been delivering to customers in the Czech and Slovak Republics as well as in Germany. Distribution centre in the Czech Republic was the second logistic hub Ecologistics opened in Europe after having entered the U.K. market. The firm has so far built a robust logistic framework across Western Europe, currently leasing premium logistics space also in Germany, France, Spain and Italy.

“Ecologistics is a 3PL operátor distributing goods of e-commerce companies such as Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, shopify and Walmart. We dispatch 30.000 packages daily in the Czech Republic and thanks to additional two new warehouses in Prague-Chrastany and Pilsen-Stenovice our capacity significantly increased,“ said Roman Havelka, Operations Director Ecologistics Czech Republic.

“We are also pleased by growing interest of the Czech companies in our service. Number of them has been expanding beyond Czech and Slovak markets and they need to distribute goods not only in Europe, but overseas, and we are experienced and reliable partner for them,” Havelka added.

The growth of Ecologistics´ real estate portfolio in the Czech Republic is closely tied to spreading services for B2B clients and distribution of their goods from the producer to user (another company). To their e-commerce clients Ecologistics provides fulfilment service which means that the logistics company is fully responsible for goods storing, receiving and handling orders and distributes goods to the customers on behalf of particular e-shop.

“The Czech Republic´s central position continues to be attractive for international logistics companies as they are able to supply Western Europe (mainly Germany) as well as Central Europe effectively from here. The biggest interest among them is for Prague and its close vicinity, but having in mind the limited capacity of the A-class warehouses there and significant rental growth in some locations in and around Prague recently (in H1 2021 by up to 30 % to 5 – 5,50 EUR/sqm/month), the logistics companies are moving to the Czech regions. Firms serving the German market to Pilsen region or to Czech-German border. If they are not able to find suitable space in the Czech Republic, they usually relocate to Poland, where commercial development including industrial one is easier and quicker, where the industrial rents are lower and there is also better connection to Northern Germany,” comments Peter Kolenčík, founder of Lokatio.cz, who is representing Ecologistics on the Czech property market.

Ecologistics is a subsidiary company of Chinese Zongteng Group focusing on logistics and warehousing. Zongteng Group has been under their brand Elogistic leasing 1 mil sqm in 30 distribution centres around the world from which they provide fulfilment services to 4,000 mainly e-commerce customers. Zongteng Group is the first Chinese company to build 1,000,000 sqm of warehouses portfolio overseas. Ecologistics´ distibution centres in the Czech Republic form company´s third biggest hub in Europe (after facilities in the U.K. and Germany).
