EIB €100m loan for section Mostar South on Corridor 5C in Bosnia

The council of Ministers in Bosnia and Herzegovina prepared a financing agreement proposal with the European Investment Bank for the construction of a 20.9 kilometer section of a motorway known offiially as Corridor 5C, Mostar South. The value of the loan is €100m. The project will be separated into three sections, between Buna-Pocitelj, the Kvanj-Buna tunnel, and the sections running from Mostar South to the Kvanj tunnel. Loan terms include a six-month grace period followed by 25 years of repayment installments. The estimated cost for the project is €227m, of which the EIB is to cover €100m, the EBRD €60m, while the Bosnian state is putting in €28m of its own money. The remainder is covered by an investment grant from WBIF.
