Eldorado Gold produced 15,181 ounces of gold from its mining operations in Greece, an enormous increase over the 9,000 ounces it produced in the first months of 2018. Eldorado operates the mine in Halkidiki through its subsidiary Helas Gold. While production hasn’t been disturbed as of yet by the coronavirus pandemic, Eldorado has raised $150m in order to protect itself from uncertainties arising from the crisis. It insists it has no immediate use for the reserve liquidity.
