The date for Senate and Chamber of Deputies seats elections has been set for December 9, according to government spokesman Andrei Zaharescu.
The government chose the December 9 date to avoid the public holidays on November 30, St Andrew’s Day and December 1, which is Romania’s National Day.
Voters will be allowed to cast their ballots only in the district where they are registered, the spokesman added.
