Electroprecizia Sacele, an electric engines manufacturer, will invest €3m in building a micro hydroelectric station at Sacele, in Brasov County, which would cover more than half of the group’s electricity consumption, Mediafax reports.
The micro hydroelectric station will be located on the site of a former hydroelectric plant that was operational between 1922 and the 1960’s.
The unit will have an installed capacity of 1.4 MW and will produce an annual power amount of 6.700 MWh. Electroprecizia has over 1,300 employees. The company exports 90 percent of its production.
