The eMag retailer accessed two loans totaling EUR 36 million from BERD to finance the construction of the logistics park in Joița. A loan of EUR 18.5 million will be granted to eMAG Operations, to develop a logistics center that will be used by Dante International. A second loan of EUR 17.5 million will be granted to Dante International for the purchase of technological equipment for the automation of the logistics center.
eMAG announced that in the summer of this year, an area of 100,000 sqm will be put into use, from the industrial park from Joiţa, which will have a total area of 130,000 sqm. All automations will be ready by September 2022, when the entire logistics center will be operational. In total, the investment in the project amounts to EUR 108 million.
