Gary Kassirer of Emerald Equity Group has picked up a five-building, mixed use portfolio in the South Bronx through a $10.50 million transaction. Known as the Crotona Park South Portfolio, the assets encompass 68 residential and three commercial units totaling 28,865 sqf. The sale price breaks down to approximately $150 per square foot and $148,000 per unit. Four of the five buildings are located on the south side of Crotona Park, with the last on Alexander Avenue in Mott Haven. “The Bronx remains extremely desirable for multifamily investors who are attracted to the area’s continued growth” said Cushman and Wakefield’s Robert M. Shapiro who exclusively represented the seller of the portfolio along with colleague David Simone.
