Polish energy provider Enea is scheduled for tomorrow to disclose how it plans to secure financing to begin the construction of a coal power plant in Kozienice. The company has officially announced it has already invited several directors form the Polish financial sector for Thursday press conference, including from the country’s second-largest lender, Pekao. “The market was expecting that it would not be difficult for Enea to acquire financing for the project,” says Paweł Puchalski from BZ WBK. “It does not need the whole package to begin work, as it has PLN 2bn in capital, at the moment,” he adds. The total investment needed for the project is PLN 6.2bn, of which Enea has already raised PLN 4bn from the stock market.
