As part of its strategy to expand its green business across Poland, the energy provider Enea has acquired a new wind farm in the Polish city Bardach, in Zachodniopomorskie region. “With the new strategy, we expect to achieve 250-350 MW of power by 2020 [from the farm],” says Krzysztof Zborowski, Enea vice-president. The farm currently has a power of 50 MW, consisting of 25 turbines, and it is able to provide energy for 50,000 of the mid-size households. Enea’s production capacity in the renewable energy sector includes a wind farm in Darżyn, 21 water-power stations, and two biogas plants in Liszkowo and Gorzesław.
