Rental prices for class A and class B office buildings located in north-central and west-central Bucharest are similar, according to a recent study by Esop Consulting, which compared prices from the beginning of the year. Rental prices for class A and B properties in the city’s north-central area fell slightly by €0.5 to €1 per sqm/month, and now average €15 to €16 per sqm. The study blames rent cuts on the area’s high vacancy levels. The opening of Promenada mall at the end of 2013 helped renew interest in the area, but rental prices have remained stagnant, according to Esop Consulting. Meanwhile, rents in the west-central area grew on average by €1 earlier this year, reaching €15 to €16 per sqm.
