Esquires Coffee has opened its first cafe in Romania at Veranda Mall in Bucharest. The company will expand on the local market as a franchise. Esquires is planning to open an additional two dozen locations across the country over the next five years. Esquires operates chains in the UK, Canada, Ireland, the Middle East, Australia and Asia. In Romania, it will compete against a number of established players, including Starbucks, McCafe, Gloria Jean’s, 5 to Go and The Coffee Shop.
