The extensive renovation work of Essener City Tower at Limbecker Platz in Essen, formerly known as Signal Iduna, has begun. The renovation work will include the removal of fire hazards and hazardous substances, as well as the installation of a new facade. Completion of the building, which will offer mostly office space, is planned by the end of this year. The first long-term lease is a 2,600 sqm agreement with the FitX fitness chain. Magna Immobilien is responsible for the revitalization of the building, while Engel & Völkers Capital provided project financing support.
