Essex is building a factory in the Jugoistok industrial zone in Zrenjan, northern Serbia. Construction broke ground in March, with completion schedule for this fall. The project includes surrounding infrastructure and parking. The production hall will cover 5,000 sqm on a 7 ha plot. The investor is planning to employ a staff of 160 people. Essex Europe is a part of South Korea’s Superior Essex. It is a leading supplier of wires for the production of transformers, motors and generators.
