Construction output in the EU grew by 1.1 percent in July m-o-m and by 1.8 percent in the eurozone, according to data compiled by Eurostat. Activity on the Slovak market, on the other hand, fell by 11 percent m-o-m in July, followed by Hungary (-3.2 percent) and Bulgaria (-1.4 percent). The sector grew in the eurozone by a mere 0.3 percent m-o-m in June. Output rose by 3.1 percent y-o-y in July in the eurozone, and by 1 percent in the EU. France posted 4.8-percent growth, followed by Slovenia (2 percent), Spain (1.9 percent) and Germany (1.8 percent).
