Europa Capital launches Westgate Park Rudna

Europa Capital, on behalf of Europa Fund IV, has launched Westgate Park Rudna, a prime logistics warehouse site on the outskirts of Prague. Originally used for storage and distribution of goods for Billa supermarkets, it sits directly on the first exit along the D5 motorway towards Pilsen and Germany.

The original warehouse building was constructed in 1997 and provides 32,000 sqm of usable space, including 6,000 sqm of offices. Europa Capital plans for refurbish it into a flexible modern facility.

The project includes about 15 hectares of development land, with valid Planning permit in place to construct about 34,000 sqm of new warehousing. In addition, Planning Permit is expected to be secured in 2014 for an additional 24,000 sqm of new building.

The Charnwood Company, with whom Europa has concluded other successful investments in this sector in the Czech Republic, is the local asset manager and will implement all aspects of the project business plan.
