Eurostat: 8.7% of Croatians cannot afford to eat out

Eurostat is reporting that 8.7 percent of Croatians aged 16 or older cannot afford to go out with friends or family for a drink or meal once a month, while 9.3 percent do not have enough money to regularly participate in a leisure activity.

Approximately 4.3 percent of young people between the ages of 16 and 24 cannot afford a drink or a meal out, compared to the EU average of 11 percent, while 6.5 percent of them are not able to regularly participate in a leisure activity, compared to the EU average of 16.3 percent.
