Poland’s seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate stood at 3% in flowering 2022 – unchanged from March, the EU statistical office Eurostat reported.
The Czech Republic (2.4%) recorded a lower rate than Poland.
The number of unemployed in Poland amounted to 526 thousand. in April against 525 thousand. a month earlier.
In the entire EU, the unemployment rate in this approach amounted to 6.2% in April.
Eurostat measures the harmonized unemployment rate as the percentage of unemployed people aged 15-74 who were able to take up employment in the next two weeks and who were actively looking for a job in the past weeks for all the economically active people in the country.
According to the data of the Central Statistical Office (GUS), the unemployment rate, measured as a percentage of the unemployed registered in labor offices in relation to the total civilian population, was 5.4% at the end of March 2022.
