National Federation of Hungarian Building Contractors (EVOSZ) have published a report on the impact that COVID-19 has had on the construction industry. A survey sent out to over 400 companies belonging to EVOSZ have said, that the diseases are rare in this sector, and works have not been hampered by the rise in infections in Hungary. Most of those questioned have said that safety measures have been applied, making working brigades much smaller, and making sure that professional consultations are kept to the minimum and are conducted while keeping safe distances. The report also suggests that there is still a shortage for skilled workers and engineers in the construction industry, which will create a backlog in future works.
