The Prague based investment group Expandia has given the contractor Metrostav the go-ahead to begin work on Administrativní centrum Piano, a new office project in České Budějovice in South Bohemia. The office complex, designed by CMC architects to meet LEED Gold certificate criteria, will go up at the corner of Mánesova and Lidická streets near the historic city center. It will offer 7,600 sqm of offices, 1,200 sqm of retail and services and approximately 100 parking spots in an underground parking garage. Michal Záveský, CEO of Piano Business Center, claims that while České Budějovice offers a good deal of office space, little of it is new or modern. Metrostav will start construction in July, with completion scheduled for 2018.
