Expeditors Polska has leased a total of nearly 7,000 sqm of space at GLP’s logistics park in Lędziny

20 December 2022

Expeditors is one of the world’s leading TSL operators, headquartered in Seattle. It operates in 103 countries on 6 continents, including Poland since 2005. It specializes in international freight forwarding, customs services, warehousing and distribution, as well as the organization of oversize transports. At GLP’s new logistics center in Lędziny, Expeditors will benefit from high storage and loop-guided vehicles.

“The logistics center in southern Poland is a natural next step for our expansion in the local market. Lêdziny is geographically a very attractive drop-off point to the south of Europe, which fits perfectly with the needs of our customers from the Wroclaw, Katowice or Krakow area. Encouraged by the success of the use of system trucks (VNA) in a warehouse near Warsaw, we decided to make a similar investment in Lędziny, this time at a height of 12 meters. The new location also includes in its plans an area with actively controlled temperature,” says Marta Piechel. Managing Director and Board Member, Expeditors Poland.

GLP Park Lędziny offers more than 110,000 sqm of warehouse and production space, located directly at the S1 route junction, 10 minutes from the intersection of the A4 freeway and the S1 expressway. The project was built to GLP Design Standard (12m clear height, increased number of skylights, increased building insulation), BREEAM-certified at Very Good level and suitable for installation of photovoltaic panels on roofs.

“Expeditors’ decision to lease one of the last vacant spaces in our park is a perfect end to a very active year. It is also further proof of what an attractive location Lędziny has become on the map of Upper Silesia,” comments Marcin Żuchniewicz, Business Development Manager at GLP.
