Foreign direct investments on Bulgaria’s non-financial sector in 2015 amounted to €23.127bn, up 7.2 percent y-o-y, according to preliminary data released by the National Statistics Institute.
The industrial sector reported the largest volume of foreign direct investments (€9.852bn), followed by the service sector (€5.607bn). These two sectors accounted for 66.8 percent of total foreign direct investments for the year, up 2.3 percent y-o-y. Foreign direct investments in the construction sector totaled €751m, down 18.1 percent y-o-y.
