FEC to lease 100,000 sqf at Sentinel Square II

19 October 2016

The Federal Election Commission has inked a 100,000 sqf lease with the Trammell Crow Company and its joint venture partners, Cottonwood Partners and a subsidiary of a private real estate fund advised by Crow Holdings Capital – Real Estate. The long-term lease is within the partners Sentinel Square II on First Street, NE in Washington, DC. The building is part of the partnership’s 1.3 million square foot, multi-phase, Class A office development. It’s been designed to meet Level IV security protocols and LEED Silver standards for a cored and shell development. The Federal Election Commission will occupy the top four floors of the building starting November 2017.

“After having survived a historically anomalous low level of federal leasing in recent years, we are thrilled to have worked with GSA, JLL and FEC to provide a modern and efficient work space from which FEC can execute its critical mission,” said Thomas Finan, a Managing Director in Trammell Crow Company’s MidAtlantic office, “all while saving the federal government and American taxpayer significant dollars over the life of the lease.”
