Slovakia’s prime minister Robert Fico says that Greece will have to pass new laws before any discussions can begin over a third round of aid for the fiscally challenged country. “We want to see what it will do with GDP, the retirement system and what impact it will have on the laws connected to it,” he says. “This is the basic condition for the beginning of any sort of discussions, and it doesn’t mean that we will agree to a bailout for Greece,” said Fico. Slovakia is considering sending up to €12bn to the country. Greeks who didn’t empty their bank accounts are now having trouble getting money out of bank machines, reducing liquidity levels seriously.
