Finep may hit planning hurdle with Kaskády Barrandov

26 April 2017

Prague 5 may appeal a planning permit for an additional phase of Kaskády Barrandov, a residential project Finep has been developing in the city’s Barrandov neighborhood. District officials initially raised objections against the permit during the planning process, but the construction department rejected them. The municipality wants 40 percent of the project to be dedicated to retail, services and infrastructure. It also claims there is lack of parking space. The current capacity only allows for 0.7 to 0.8 of a parking spot per unit. Councillors say that Finep should have presented a plan for the whole project, including all amenities, and not apply for separate planning permits for each phase.
