Finep opened a department store in Prague today, which offers services connected to housing. The department store is part of Finep’s new ProBydlení project. The developer wants to diversify its portfolio and be less dependent on residential development and new flat sales. The new business is expected to net CZK 200m annually, or 10 percent of Finep’s total income. Its expansion into the service sector started with the acquisition of the Maxima brokerage. The new department store stretches across three floors in a building Finep owns on Havlíčkova street opposite the Masaryk railway station in Prague 1.
