Finep put a total of 148 cooperative flats on the market this year at three residential projects it is developing in Prague: Britská čtvrť in Stodůlky-Prague 5, Prosek Park in Prague 9 and Malý Háj in Prague-Štěrboholy. The newest apartment house completed at Malý Háj includes 39 cooperative flats ranging from one to four rooms (33-103 sqm). Štěpán Havlas, Finep’s CFO, says these days there is no difference between demand for private or cooperative flats due in part to the market’s new mortgage conditions. “This is why we expect record sales of cooperative flats in 2016,” he says, adding that the halt of 100-percent mortgages will further increase the appeal of cooperative housing.
