Romanian Finance Minister Anca Dragu is proposing guarantees for older homes purchased through the state’s Prima Casa program drop to 40 percent, while guarantees for newer homes remain at 50 percent. Buyers must front 5 percent of any purchase made through the program.
More than 21,000 guarantees were granted by the Credit Guarantee Fund for SMEs (FNGCIMM) for the Prima Casa Program in the first six months of this year, up 40 percent y-o-y.
