Finnish developer bets on energy saving

11 June 2012

YIT Stavo has completed Koti Hájek, a residential project in Prague 11, with more than half of the 31 units already sold. Dana Bartoňová, sales manager for YIT Stavo, says the option to connect two smaller units into one, together with low energy consumption, has proved to be a competitive advantage. Compared to standard prefab flats built in the 1980’s, where annual heating costs typically ran to CZK 17,656, the user of a comparable unit in Koti Hájek will pay just CZK 6,101. Designed by Consilium architects, the units vary from 36 sqm one-room flats up to to four roomed units with 110 sqm.
