A new Courtyard by Marriott will open in Banja Luka on July in the center of the city on Prvog krajiskog korpusa street. The 118 room hotel will offer a multimedia conference hall for 200 people along with a restaurnat for more than 90 people. The hotel will employ roughly 40 people initially, with the staff expected to grow to around 60 during the high season. Marriott International signed a deal for the construction of the hotel on a franchise contract with the domestic group MMI Razvoj projekata. Marriott International maintains a portfolio of 30 hotel brands and over 100 million members in its loyalty club. In the Balkans, Marriott already operates in Sarajevo, Belgrade, Zagreb and Skoplje.
