The first Four Points by Sheraton is being built in Kecskemét, and it’s claimed it will become Hungary’s biggest business hotel and conference center. The investment is being carried out by KÉSZ Industrial Park Real Estate Management Ltd, a Hungarian investment and asset management holding company. KÉSZ Holding built the Mercedes factory in Kecskemét, so the new hotel will probably serve Mercedes-related businessmen. The project is worth HUF 2.5bn, and is receiving HUF 732m in European Union support. The building will become part of the American Starwood hotel chain upon its opening, which is expected in 2013. The 1,400 sqm conference center will have 7 halls, while the hotel will consist of 129 rooms, 7 suites and will provide 43 working places.
