The number of credit guarantee requests for Romania’s First Home Program increased by about 30 percent y-o-y. Officials say they are receiving an average of 220 requests per day, according to the National Credit Guarantee Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises (FNGCIMM). So far, the fund has granted 6,800 guarantees, worth RON 555m, which will support loans worth RON 1.11bn.
Since 2009, FNGCIMM granted nearly 139,000 guarantees, worth about RON 11.6bn, on a total loan value of around RON 23bn.
