First phase of Arcus City has completed rough construction

3 November 2022

UBM Development Czechia has completed the rough construction of buildings E and F of the first phase of the Arcus City residential project. The last three of the 50 apartments remain to be purchased. The building will be completed and available for occupancy in the second half of 2023. The Arcus City development is being built in three phases. The project includes a square with a relaxation area and shops. The project is implemented with BREEAM environmental certification.

The first stage of the Arcus City project, comprising 150 apartments from 1 + kk to 4 + kk and sizes from 27.4 sqm to 136.7 sqm, has now completed the rough construction. The facade and interior works are currently underway for all buildings A to F. At the same time, the construction of the apartment building with three towers G, H, I in the central part continues. A pit for the underground floor, which will house parking spaces and cellars, has been dug and piles are now being drilled.

“We are moving forward very quickly with the construction of Arcus City, our largest residential project in Prague. We are delighted with the great interest in living in this newly emerging neighbourhood in Prague-Repory. We have already sold out the first phase of the project except for the last few units in the rough construction phase. The demand for new apartments, although at a slower pace, continues to persist. We are offering free parking for the first ten buyers in the GHI apartment building from the second phase. We are currently preparing the third stage with four low-rise apartment buildings realized as wooden buildings,” says Alice Slámová, marketing and sales director of UBM Development Czechia.

The apartment buildings of the third phase will be built by the company in the spirit of its strategic motto “green, smart and more” as combined wooden buildings with the main load-bearing elements made of solid wooden panels. Building with wood, as a renewable resource, represents a sustainable and ecological approach. Modern solid wood panel houses have countless advantages, the most important of which are a minimal carbon footprint and reduced construction time, thus minimising construction traffic. A major advantage in production is the prefabricated parts, which produce buildings with far greater precision and quality. UBM is delivering the project with BREEAM environmental certification, which contains a standard of practice for the design and construction of buildings with an emphasis on sustainability and is a practical benchmark to describe the environmental performance of a building.
