First phase of €100m photovoltaic project finishing

The first phase of a €100m photovoltaic power plant by Promocion Inversolar 65 is set to finish next month. The project covers 200 ha in the town of Sebis, Arad County, where 317,000 panels with a total power of 65 MW are going up.

The first phase includes 72,000 photovoltaic panels on 44 ha. Work on the project’s second phase, which includes an additional 245,000 panels on 150 ha, will start in April, according to the news server Mediafax. The project’s investors and the Mayor of Sebis have stated that this photovoltaic power plant will be the largest in Romania and one of the largest in Europe.
