J&T Real Estate has received its use permit for the infrastructure at Zuckermandel, a mixed-use complex it’s building below the Bratislava Castle. The first buildings in the complex are currently under construction and should be completed in the second half of 2016. Zuckermandel is the first part of redevelopment of Podhradie, an area along the river Danube below the Castle that was cleared 50 years ago. In all, it will include 187 flats, 42,000 sqm of office and 3,500 sqm of retail. Underground parking garages will have a capacity of 900 cars. The first phase of work will offer 152 apartments, almost all of which have been either sold or reserved.
