Flats are becoming more affordable in Slovakia. The daily Sme quotes ČSOB analyst Marek Gábriš who says that 54 average monthly wages are enough to buy a one-room flat in Slovakia, while 102 salaries would be needed to move into a three-room unit. The figures are roughly as low as they’ve ever been, thanks in part to historically low interest rates. Gabriš also says longer fixations of interest rates on mortgages, such as 10 years, are becoming increasingly popular.
